Privacy Policy details

APLLET LLC respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly.

This Privacy Policy explains how APLLET LLC, referred to as “APLLET,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you visit apllet.com, communicate with us, submit a business inquiry, request information, apply for a position, or otherwise interact with the public APLLET corporate website.

In this Privacy Policy, the website and its corporate webpages are collectively called the “Site.”

  • Information governed by a separate applicant, product, customer, or service-specific notice.
  • Information covered by a signed contract, statement of work, data-processing agreement, or other written agreement.

APLLET products and customer services may have separate privacy notices. When a separate notice or written agreement applies, that document governs the information and processing activities it covers.

When APLLET processes information solely on behalf of a customer, government agency, school, employer, or other organization, that organization may determine how the information is used. Privacy questions regarding such information should generally be directed to that organization.

  • Account passwords.
  • Medical or health information.
  • Biometric identifiers or precise geolocation.

A career application may ask whether you are legally authorized to work or require employment sponsorship. Do not upload copies of passports, visas, Social Security cards, or immigration documents unless requested through a secure and authorized process.

Where applicable law requires consent before processing sensitive personal data, APLLET will request consent separately. New Jersey law requires covered controllers to obtain consent before processing sensitive data and to limit collection to information that is adequate, relevant, and reasonably necessary.

4. How We Use Personal Information

APLLET may use personal information to:

  • Respond to requests, questions, and messages.
  • Provide requested company, service, or product information and schedule discussions or demonstrations.

  • Send marketing communications when permitted by law and consistent with your preferences.
  • Comply with applicable law, valid legal process, recordkeeping requirements, and applicable agreements.

APLLET seeks to collect only information reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. The FTC recommends limiting collection and retention to information the business needs and protecting the information it retains.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Site may use cookies, local storage, pixels, server logs, and similar technologies.

Essential and security technologies

  • Load and operate the Site.
  • Maintain security and prevent malicious activity.
  • Remember privacy or accessibility preferences.
  • Support forms and balance network traffic.
  • Diagnose errors.

Essential technologies may be required for the Site to function correctly.

Analytics technologies

APLLET uses Google Analytics to understand Site usage and performance only after you accept analytics cookies through our cookie-preference tool. If you accept, Google may receive technical and usage information such as pages visited, referral information, general device and browser details, and Site interaction data. Rejecting optional cookies keeps Google Analytics off. You can withdraw consent using Cookie settings; this stops further analytics collection and clears accessible Google Analytics cookies.

  • Which pages are visited and how visitors reach the Site.
  • General device and browser information.
  • Site performance.
  • Navigation and usage trends.

Analytics information may be aggregated or pseudonymized where practical. Available browser, device, or Site privacy controls may be used where applicable.

Advertising technologies

APLLET does not currently use the corporate Site to display cross-site targeted advertising, build advertising profiles based on activity across unaffiliated websites, or use personal information collected through the corporate Site for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Managing cookies

  • Cookie settings, available at the bottom-left of the Site after you make a choice. Your choice is stored in your browser for up to 180 days. If browser storage is unavailable, it applies only to the current page session.
  • Browser settings.
  • Device settings.
  • Privacy extensions or preference signals.

Disabling certain technologies may affect Site functionality.

Do Not Track and opt-out preference signals

Some browsers provide a legacy “Do Not Track” setting. Because there is no uniform standard governing all Do Not Track signals, the Site does not currently respond to legacy Do Not Track settings.

APLLET will recognize legally required universal opt-out or privacy-preference signals if APLLET begins processing personal information in a way that is subject to such a requirement.

California requires commercial websites collecting information from California consumers to conspicuously post a privacy policy, and California privacy rules may require businesses that sell or share data to honor applicable opt-out mechanisms.

6. How We Disclose Personal Information

APLLET may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients.

Hosting and technology providers

  • Cloud hosting, website infrastructure, databases, and storage.
  • Content delivery, system monitoring, error logging, backup, and recovery.

Communications and business-service providers

  • Email and telephone communications.
  • Contact forms, customer-relationship management, and scheduling.
  • Document management and business communications.

Security and analytics providers

  • Fraud prevention, spam filtering, threat detection, cybersecurity monitoring, and incident response.
  • Technical and usage information for Site measurement and performance analysis, including through Google Analytics.

Recruiting and workforce providers

  • Applicant-tracking providers, recruiting platforms, staffing partners, and interview or scheduling providers.
  • Hiring managers and relevant APLLET customers or prospective customers.

When APLLET considers a candidate for a customer or project opportunity, relevant professional information may be disclosed to the customer or partner after appropriate notice and, when required, authorization.

Background-screening providers

If a position requires a background check, APLLET may use an authorized provider. Any consumer report or employment background check will be subject to a separate disclosure and written authorization process where required.

The federal Fair Credit Reporting Act generally requires a clear standalone disclosure and written permission before an employer obtains an employment background report from a reporting company.

Professional advisers and affiliates

  • Attorneys, accountants, auditors, insurers, compliance advisers, and other professional advisers.
  • Legally affiliated organizations when reasonably necessary for administration, support, recruiting, service delivery, or another purpose described in this Privacy Policy.

Government and legal recipients

  • Comply with law or respond to a court order, subpoena, warrant, or lawful government request.
  • Cooperate with law enforcement, protect rights or safety, investigate misconduct, fraud, or security incidents, and establish or defend legal claims.

Corporate transactions

Information may be disclosed in connection with a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or change of control. Any recipient will be expected to handle personal information consistently with applicable law.

At your direction

APLLET may disclose information when you request, authorize, or intentionally direct the disclosure.

7. Sale, Targeted Advertising, and Profiling

APLLET does not currently:

  • Sell personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration.
  • Share personal information for cross-site targeted advertising.
  • Use personal information from the corporate Site to profile individuals in furtherance of decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.

APLLET also does not knowingly sell or share personal information concerning children.

If these practices change, APLLET will update this Privacy Policy, provide legally required notice, and offer applicable opt-out mechanisms before beginning the new processing.

8. Career Applicants

APLLET uses applicant information to administer recruiting, evaluate qualifications, communicate with candidates, and meet employment-related obligations.

Applicant information may be shared with:

  • APLLET recruiting personnel and hiring managers.
  • Authorized service providers, staffing partners, and project partners.
  • Prospective customers considering a candidate for a relevant role.
  • Background-screening providers following separate authorization.
  • Government authorities when required by law.

Submission of an application does not guarantee an interview, placement, assignment, or employment.

If APLLET wishes to retain your information for future opportunities beyond the immediate recruiting process, APLLET may notify you and provide an available method to object or request deletion, subject to legal recordkeeping requirements.

Some state consumer privacy statutes exclude information processed in an employment context. For example, New Jersey’s statute defines “consumer” to exclude a person acting in a commercial or employment context. APLLET will nevertheless accept applicant privacy inquiries and respond as required by applicable employment, privacy, and recordkeeping laws.

9. Marketing Communications

APLLET may send marketing or business-development communications when:

  • You request them.
  • You subscribe to updates.
  • You provide legally valid consent.
  • Applicable law otherwise permits the communication.

You may unsubscribe by:

  • Selecting the unsubscribe link in an email.
  • Replying with an unsubscribe request.
  • Contacting hello@apllet.com.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent APLLET from sending transactional, operational, recruiting, security, legal, or relationship-related communications.

Marketing consent must be separate from agreement to the Terms of Use and acknowledgment of this Privacy Policy.

10. Data Retention

APLLET retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to:

  • Respond to and manage inquiries and administer an ongoing relationship.
  • Maintain business and recruiting records.
  • Meet contractual, legal, tax, accounting, and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and exercise or defend legal claims.
  • Protect security and prevent fraud.

Retention periods may depend on:

  • The type and sensitivity of the information and the purpose for which it was collected.
  • The length of the relationship and whether an inquiry or application remains active.
  • Applicable legal requirements and limitation periods.
  • Security and fraud-prevention needs.
  • Backup and system-recovery schedules.

When information is no longer reasonably needed, APLLET will delete it, de-identify it, or securely isolate it until deletion is practical, subject to lawful exceptions.

APLLET may retain a limited record of a privacy request or opt-out request to demonstrate compliance and prevent deleted information from being reintroduced.

11. Information Security

APLLET uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, acquisition, use, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Safeguards may include:

  • Access controls and authentication.
  • Encryption in transit and secure hosting.
  • Logging, monitoring, and network security.
  • Backup and recovery controls.
  • Vendor-management practices and employee confidentiality obligations.
  • Incident-response procedures.

No internet transmission, system, or storage environment can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should use caution when transmitting sensitive information and should not send passwords, Social Security numbers, payment details, or confidential credentials through ordinary contact forms or unencrypted email.

New Jersey law requires covered controllers to maintain safeguards appropriate to the volume and nature of the personal data involved. The FTC also advises businesses to use security measures appropriate to the information they maintain and to honor the privacy and security promises they make.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and whether an applicable privacy law covers APLLET’s processing, you may have the right to:

  • Confirm whether APLLET processes your personal information.
  • Access personal information about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion or obtain a portable copy.
  • Opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, or certain profiling.
  • Withdraw consent for consent-based processing.
  • Appeal a denied privacy request.
  • Use an authorized agent.
  • Exercise your rights without unlawful discrimination.

APLLET does not currently sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or conduct legally significant profiling through the corporate Site.

How to submit a request

Email hello@apllet.com with the subject “Privacy Request,” or use the APLLET Contact page and select “Privacy Request.” Your request should include your full name, email address, state of residence, the right you wish to exercise, and enough information to identify relevant records. Do not send a government identification document with your initial request.

Verification

APLLET may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity, state of residence, records associated with you, or an authorized agent’s authority. Verification information will be used only for verification, security, fraud prevention, and request administration.

APLLET may be unable to fulfill a request when it cannot reasonably verify the requester or when an exception applies.

Response time

APLLET will respond within the period required by applicable law. When the New Jersey Data Privacy Act applies, covered controllers generally must respond within 45 days and may extend the response by an additional 45 days when reasonably necessary and when timely notice of the extension is provided.

Authorized agents

Where permitted by law, you may authorize an agent to submit a request on your behalf. APLLET may require signed authorization, evidence of the agent’s authority, direct confirmation from you, and reasonable verification of your identity.

Appeals

If APLLET denies a privacy request, the response will explain the reason and provide instructions for appeal when applicable. To appeal, email hello@apllet.com with the subject “Privacy Appeal” and include your original request, a copy or description of APLLET’s decision, and the reason you believe the decision should be reconsidered.

APLLET will respond to an appeal within the period required by applicable law. Under New Jersey law, an appeal response is generally required within 45 days; if the appeal is denied, the response must explain how the consumer may contact the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.

Non-discrimination

APLLET will not unlawfully discriminate against you solely because you exercised an applicable privacy right.

APLLET may decline or limit a request where permitted by law, including when necessary to comply with legal obligations, complete a requested transaction, maintain security, prevent fraud, protect another person’s rights, preserve legally privileged material, establish or defend legal claims, or retain information required by law.

13. Notice to New Jersey Residents

When the New Jersey Data Privacy Act applies, New Jersey residents acting in an individual or household context may have rights to:

  • Confirm processing and access personal data.
  • Correct inaccurate personal data.
  • Delete personal data or receive a portable copy.
  • Opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or certain legally significant profiling.
  • Appeal the denial of a request.

The statute applies only to controllers meeting specified processing thresholds and excludes people acting in commercial or employment contexts from its definition of consumer.

APLLET provides the request and appeal procedures in Section 12 regardless of whether every statutory right applies to every interaction.

14. Notice to California Residents

APLLET’s general disclosures regarding categories of information, purposes, recipients, retention, and rights appear throughout this Privacy Policy.

APLLET does not currently sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and does not currently use sensitive personal information from the corporate Site for purposes requiring a right to limit under the California Consumer Privacy Act.

Where California law applies, California residents may have rights to:

  • Know or access covered personal information.
  • Correct inaccurate information or delete covered personal information.
  • Opt out of sale or sharing.
  • Limit certain uses of sensitive personal information.
  • Receive equal service and treatment when exercising rights.

California privacy rights apply only when the relevant statutory requirements are met. The California Attorney General identifies access, deletion, correction, opt-out, limitation, and non-discrimination among the rights available under the CCPA when it applies.

APLLET does not disclose personal information to third parties for those third parties’ own direct-marketing purposes without appropriate notice or authorization. California residents may submit requests using the procedure in Section 12.

15. Children’s Privacy

The corporate Site is intended for a general business audience. It is not directed to children under 13, and APLLET does not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 through the corporate Site.

If APLLET learns that it collected personal information through the corporate Site from a child under 13 without legally required authorization, APLLET will take reasonable steps to delete the information. A parent or legal guardian who believes a child submitted information may contact hello@apllet.com.

COPPA applies to child-directed online services and to general-audience services that have actual knowledge that they are collecting personal information online from a child under 13.

16. International Visitors and Data Transfers

APLLET is based in the United States.

If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or in another jurisdiction where APLLET or its service providers operate.

Privacy and data-protection laws in those jurisdictions may differ from the laws where you live.

APLLET will use contractual, organizational, and technical safeguards required by applicable law for covered international transfers.

17. Third-Party Websites

The Site may link to:

  • Social-media services and government websites.
  • Customer or partner websites.
  • Maps and app stores.
  • Job boards and technology providers.
  • Other third-party services.

APLLET does not control the privacy or security practices of third parties. This Privacy Policy does not apply to information collected independently by a third party. Review the third party’s privacy notice before providing personal information.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

APLLET may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in:

  • Site features and business practices.
  • Data-processing activities and technology.
  • Service providers and products.
  • Security practices and legal requirements.

APLLET will post the revised Privacy Policy on this page and update the “Last Updated” date.

When legally required, APLLET will provide additional notice or request consent before materially different processing begins. Continued use of the Site does not constitute consent where applicable law requires a separate, affirmative choice.
